Smoke And Fire Curtain

SMOKE CURTAIN

Smoke curtain is applied in large building space to build smoke bay, preventing  the smoke from spreading another area .

As reliable supplier of nationwide  smoke curtain producers,Suntex manufacture fire resistance cloth for the use in smoke curtains . The cloth are made of  fiberglass fabrics coated with  flame retardant formulated polymer,  the fabric can meet the requirement of 120 minutes at 600 0C smoke, (EN-120) , approved by M0 to standard A2 to EN13501-1 and NPA 701, further more , our fabric is very good rolling ability , durable and easy fabricated.

FIRE CURTAIN

Like smoke curtain, Fire can’t be ignored or underestimated even though it may be small from start. Fire will tend to spread and evolve which result in unimaginable consequences. When the bad master are presence and spreading in an enclose environment, it tend to create more smoke which lower down visibilities as well as affecting human breathing system. In addition, the radiant heat although may not be as catastrophic as those in oil and gas plant but it is damaging enough to create human causalities with different degrees of burn.

As such, Suntex is able to provide a range of fire and high temperature resistant fabrics which can be used to compartmentalize areas thus buy time for fire rescue and evacuation.

Test Results

According to the test results, the submitted sample’s fire resistance performance is as follows: Integrity: ≥ 180 min.

Conclusion

According to the test results, the submitted sample meets the requirementof fire integrity for 3h.

Test Items Performance Criteria Results
  A specimen is considered to have lost its integrity if any of the following specific circumstances occur to it:
Integrity

a) When sustained flaming for not less than 10s on the unexposed surface occurs;

b) Flames and/or hot gases cause flaming or glowing of the cotton pad;

c) The 6 mm diameter gauge can penetrate through gaps such that the end of the gauge projects into the furnace and the gauge can be moved in the gap for a distance of at least 150 mm;

d) The 25 mm diameter gap gauge can penetrate through the gap such that the end of the gauge projects into the furnace;

180min,
Suntex fireproof fabric kept the Integrity performance.

Test result curve

The following data were collected during the test:
a) The average temperature/time curve in the furnace, see attached Figure 1.
b) The furnace actual pressure/time curve, see attached Figure 2.
