With summer temperatures soaring past 40°C (104°F) in many parts of the world, we are seeing a worrying rise in vehicle fire incidents. Just recently in Wuhan, a car burst into flames on a congested elevated highway, with flames rapidly reaching the roadside noise barriers. This type of elevated roadway fire often triggers massive indirect economic losses and a heavy toll on social public resources.
