Aluminized Fiberglass Fabric
SUNTEX aluminized fiberglass fabric is made from woven fiberglass base cloth with an aluminum foil or aluminized film. It is used for industrial applications that need radiant heat reflection, flame-retardant fiberglass reinforcement, abrasion resistance, and flexible fabrication, including welding protection, heat shields, removable insulation covers, and protective covers for high-heat environments.

Key benefits
Reflective aluminized surface for radiant heat protection
Flexible and easy to cut, sew and fabricate
Fiberglass base cloth for strength and dimensional stability
Suitable for heat shields, covers and protective barriers

Typical applications
Select an application to see how silicone coated fiberglass fabric is used in a complete thermal-protection system.
Welding, Spark & Molten Splash Protection
Used for welding curtains, protective covers and barriers where sparks, spatter, abrasion resistance and flexible fabrication are required.
Fire & Smoke Curtains
Used in selected fire and smoke curtain systems that require coated fiberglass fabric with flame-retardant performance and stable deployment
Removable Insulation Covers & Thermal Insulation
Used as the outer layer of removable insulation covers for valves, pipes, flanges and industrial equipment.
How to Choose the Right fabric
Choose the fabric by matching four key requirements.
01 · RADIANT HEAT
What fire performance is required
Select the coating system according to the required fire and flame performance
Check: Flame resistance · Smoke performance · Required standard
02 · ALUMINIZED SIDE
What temperature and heat source will it face?
Match the fabric to the actual heat source, especially radiant heat, direct contact heat, sparks or molten splash exposure.d heat exposure.
Check: Radiant heat · Contact heat · Spark exposure · Splash severity
03 · FABRICATION
How will the fabric be processed?
Consider how the material will be processed into the finished product.
Check: Cutting · Sewing · Folding · Flexibility
04 · EXPOSURE CONDITION
What conditions will it work in?
Match the material to the abrasion, moisture, airflow, chemical and indoor or outdoor conditions it will face in service.
Check: Abrasion · Moisture · Chemicals · Indoor / outdoor use
